Astrology is about integration and connection. Through our attention to planetary cycles and patterns, we begin to experience ourselves in a much bigger and more connected way.  We are able to better understand our place in the world, as well as the world's place in us.  We also become more and more skillful in the precious art of timing.

I offer both chart readings and in-depth chart engagement sessions, and these are described below.  My astrological practice is grounded in 24 years of serious study of the inner skies.  If you are knowledgable about astrology, you may be interested in reading more about my orientation by scrolling below the list of services.

In addition to the services below, I offer frequent workshops and classes exploring astrological themes. I also post occasional articles in the astrology blog here and recordings of talks and radio appearances can be found here.

Readings and Sessions are in person or by telephone/ videophone.  All readings include a copy of your chart(s) and an audio CD of the session for later review.

My Astrological Experience and Orientation

I grew up in astrology. Our neighborhood astrologer in West Virginia cast all our charts at birth, and moon signs and ascendants were always part of conversations.  At age 11 or 12 (during my first 8th-house-Jupiter return), I discovered a set of esoteric texts closeted away in my grandparents' home.  Many of these texts were incomprehensible to my mind, but they awakened a knowing and a deep trust in larger patterns and cycles of life.  They provided a sense of meaning and perspective on life situations that otherwise seemed very chaotic and frightening.

I began casting charts for friends and family and created an astrology study course at age 16 (as my progressed Sun conjoined my natal Uranus, and transiting Uranus conjoined my North Node).  I provided astrological services to many people for several years, and 18 years later, when I received a graduate degree in counseling, I declared myself professionally (as transiting Uranus conjuncted my Midheaven).

My practice is informed by the outpouring of consciousness-oriented approaches to astrology that emerged in the decades just before and after my own birth (September 28, 1973, 23:56, Huntington, West Virginia, USA).  The two key figures whose lineage I draw from are Dane Rudhyar and Jeffrey Wolf Green.   

In working with charts, I follow the invitation of the moment in terms of where to focus.  However, some areas that I track in any chart include: 

• Pluto and the Nodal Axis
• Planetary Phases - Natal and Progressed 
• House Rulerships and Dispositorships
• Goddess Asteroids: Ceres, Juno, Pallas, Vesta
• Degree-specific symbolism, e.g. Sabian Symbols

I view the chart as a depiction of the multiplicity of attractor patterns at play in consciousness at the moment represented by the chart.  My role in a reading is to enable the client to have a felt experience of the nature of those attractors and how they manifest in life, and to empower the client to participate consciously with these attractors by understanding and tracking their cycles through time.
